Edward McIntyre became the Senior Partner of MDASR in January 2015. He has practiced in issues relating to employment law since 1994 and has been practicing Workers’ Compensation law for over 20 years.
He graduated from John Jay College in May 1988, while employed as a NYC Police Officer. In 1994, he received his law degree from the Law School of the City University of New York while employed as a Suffolk County Police Officer. For two years he was assigned to the office of the Suffolk County Police Commissioner as legal counsel. He joined the Firm early in 1997 and became a partner in 2001. He retired from the Suffolk County Police Department as a Sergeant in October of 2004.
Mr. McIntyre has been a member of the Suffolk County P.B.A. since 1989. He is a member in good standing of the Suffolk County Superior Officers Association, the Suffolk County Police Conference, and the Suffolk County Police Association. He also maintains membership in the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York State Workers’ Compensation Bar Association. In addition, Mr. McIntyre is disability counsel to the Suffolk County Police Conference. He has spoken before numerous police organizations as well as public and private sector unions on issues related to Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, and Municipal Pensions.
He resides in Eastern Suffolk with his wife, daughter and two sons.
