Mitchell Schuman

Mitchell Schuman is a Licensed Claimant Representative at McIntyre Donohue Accardi Salmonson & Riordan, with more than 30 years of experience representing injured workers before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board. Since becoming licensed as a Claimant Representative in 1990, Mitchell has handled thousands of cases from litigation through settlement, earning a reputation for honest, hardworking advocacy.
A 1985 graduate of SUNY Oneonta, Mitchell began his career in Workers’ Compensation as a Carrier’s Representative in 1986 before shifting to claimant-side representation. He has also lectured extensively to chiropractic and union organizations, sharing insights on claim procedures and injured workers’ rights.
Mitchell is known for treating his clients like extended family and finds great satisfaction in helping people obtain financial relief and medical treatment after an injury. He values honesty, compassion, and dedication—traits he brings to every client relationship.
Outside of work, Mitchell is a fitness and sports enthusiast who enjoys going to the gym, biking, and playing cards. He’s actively involved in his community as a homeowners association participant, poker club president, and former youth flag football and softball coach. He lives with his wife, their four children, and two dogs.
