In a recent article published in Business Insurance, Jon Campisi sheds light on the current optimization of technology in the construction industry to increase worker safety. Workers on construction sites and jobs have recently begun using wearables, including cameras mounted to uniforms and hardhats that are designed to warn workers of job site dangers. These wearable devices also help keep track of employee movement around the work site.

Another example of technology safety equipment utilized is the “exoskeletons.” These are used to aid the workers in physical strength and support. The construction industry has seen increased use of these devices over the past several years.
