Timothy Finnegan specializes in defending Workers’ Compensation claims and has extensive experience representing clients in various workers’ compensation cases before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.

Tim graduated from Stony Brook University in 2010 with a major in U.S. History and earned his Law Degree from Touro Law Center in 2014. While at Touro, he was actively involved in student programs and served as the Student Bar Association President in his final year.

After law school, Tim gained valuable legal experience working for several law firms specializing in different areas of law. In the summer of 2015, he began focusing on workers’ compensation defense. He joined our firm in June 2016, bringing a passion for representing the working public in workers’ compensation matters.

Tim is an active member of the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and serves on the IWBA Board of Directors. Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys sailing in the summer, playing guitar, and watching sports.

I attended Touro Law Center and have primarily focused my post graduate practice to Real Estate and Workers’ Compensation.

At a very young age, I was interested in the idea of becoming an attorney and representing people in need.

Workers’ Compensation claims are difficult to navigate. I appreciate the opportunity to help those in need maximize their benefits by getting the best care possible as quickly as possible as well as help those out of work get properly compensated for their ongoing loss of earnings.

I view my relationship with clients very seriously. I strive to give my clients the most information possible about their claim and the possible outcomes going forward. Additionally, I strive to help my clients come up with future plans regarding their claim.

As a client, I would expect that my counsel would be knowledgeable about my situation and honest about their opinion of the claim going forward.

Here at MDASR, I believe we share a common thread of zealous advocacy for our clients. Our Firm takes pride in the representation of injured workers and strives to provide the best result for each and every client.

I enjoy sailing in the summer, playing guitar, and watching sports.

I am a member of the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and am currently serving as one of the IWBA Board of Directors.
