Chet Lukaszewski

Chester “Chet” Lukaszewski is a Partner at McIntyre Donohue Accardi Salmonson & Riordan, where he brings over two decades of experience in disability pension and Social Security disability law. A nationally recognized authority in the field, Chet has successfully represented hundreds of municipal employees before New York City and State retirement systems since 2001.

Chet earned his B.A. from Loyola College in 1998 and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2001. He is admitted to practice in New York State, the N.Y.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.

Highly regarded as a legal resource, Chet has been consulted by federal and state officials, law firms, and media outlets as a disability pension expert. He has testified before the New York State Senate on pension reform and has authored numerous legal publications on civil service disability law. His endorsements include EMS unions such as Local 2507 and Local 3621, among others.

Chet has also been an advisor to 9/11-focused nonprofits such as the World Trade Center Rescuers Foundation and co-founded a law enforcement aid organization supporting officers and families impacted by September 11th. He remains a dedicated advocate for New York’s uniformed civil servants, often serving as an advisor to the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program.

The 2025 merger of his practice with MDASR enhances the firm’s reach and reinforces its strength in public-sector disability litigation. Chet’s commitment to advocacy and justice continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of first responders and municipal workers statewide.
