Joseph Abrahams

Senior Associate

Joseph Abrahams is a Senior Associate at McIntyre Donohue Accardi Salmonson & Riordan and leads the firm’s Social Security Disability Department. He has dedicated his career to helping injured and disabled individuals obtain the benefits they deserve through Social Security Disability and municipal retirement systems.

Joseph earned his undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University and graduated from Touro Law School in 2014. While attending law school, he interned at MDASR and previously worked as a paralegal—an experience that inspired his pursuit of a legal career. He joined the firm full-time after graduation and has been a steadfast advocate ever since.

Joseph has successfully represented clients before the New York City Employees’ Retirement System and the New York State and Local Retirement System, and he has argued multiple Article 78 appeals before the Kings County Supreme Court. Known for his compassionate and thorough approach, he works closely with clients during what is often a difficult chapter in their lives.

Joseph is a member of the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and values the collaborative, client-focused culture at MDASR. He resides in Suffolk County and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and relaxing at the beach.
