Richard Donohue

Managing Partner

Richard Donohue is Managing Partner at McIntyre Donohue Accardi Salmonson & Riordan and has been a dedicated advocate for injured workers since 1997. He joined the firm in 1999 and became a Partner in 2004, later assuming the role of Managing Partner in 2014. Richard represents claimants before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board at both trial and appellate levels and has spoken widely on Workers’ Compensation and Social Security topics for unions and professional groups.

Richard graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University and earned his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law. Before focusing on Workers’ Compensation, he practiced estate planning, corporate law, commercial litigation, and real estate law, appearing in District, Supreme, Surrogate, and Family Courts across New York.

Coming from a family with a union construction background, Richard has a deep, personal understanding of the hazards workers face. He values the opportunity to stand beside injured workers and serve as their voice against insurance carriers.

A member of the Injured Workers’ Bar Association, Richard takes pride in the client-first culture at MDASR. He believes the firm strikes the perfect balance between personalized legal service and large-scale advocacy.

Outside the office, Richard enjoys scuba diving and skiing with his wife and their twin boys. They live together in Suffolk County, where his wife works as a Registered Nurse.
